5 out of 5 stars Quality Fun Wooden Toy   November 23, 2007

My 18 month old loves this toy, she's had it from being about 10 months old and it still looks good even after all the hammering it gets! She can now do all the shapes in record time, and is still amused and happy every time she does it. It's nice to have a quality wooden toy to enjoy rather than all the modern plastic rubbish.

This is a really robust and fun shape sorter. As soon as my two children began to sit up and grab things they loved this toy.brThey start by rolling it along and the blocks inside make a great rattling noise. They also like mouthing the shapes and chewing on them.brThe next stage is shaking it until some of the shapes fall out and after that they begin to learn to put the shapes back in.brMy daughters are now two-and-a-half years old and 12 months old and play with it together (which is very sweet). The youngest is now on the throwing it about stage and it really stands up well to the abuse!brThe mix of shapes and their corresponding holes (round, triangle, square, cross, half circle, right angle) and the different colours (white, blue, red, yellow, green, orange) are perfect for introducing your child to the different concepts of colour and shape.brI would highly recommend this above a plastic shape sorter as it is so robust. Mine still looks like new, despite having been vigorously played with every day for the past two and a half years.
