Amazon.co.uk Review p Even the youngest of babies have active minds as they lay in the cot, and the Starlight Dreamshow from Tomy is designed to occupy those little minds, then relax them and lull them to sleep.BRP Consisting of a small, plastic moulded star, measuring roughly 14cm (5.5 inches) from tip to tip, and 6cm (2.5 inches) in depth, the dreamshow includes a plastic strap to fix it to the cot. /p ptable border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="5"trtd valign="top" align="center"centerimg src=" http://images.amazon.com/images/G/02/uk-toys/cdpplusimages/baby/lightsshow.jpg" hspace=10" vspace="10"/center/tdtd align="left" valign="top" BRP Move the switch from "off" to either the "5 min" or "10 min" setting, then choose between pictures only or pictures and music. On the latter setting, the dreamshow will project small, pastel images of teddies, stars, moons and clouds onto the ceiling, while playing through three soft and gentle lullabies. On the first setting, the pictures are silent. If your baby isn't asleep by the time the dreamshow automatically switches off, just press the on button again for a replay. The dreamshow can also be switched off early, during either or the timed programmes. BRP The strap can be fitted to the dreamshow to fix it to the cot side, or it can be used freestanding on a chest of drawers or bedside cabinet. The image of a teddy bear on a cloud on the front of the dreamshow finishes off the effect and makes this a lovely addition to any nursery. --Lucie NaylorBRP Suitable from birth, the Starlight Dreamshow, requires 4 x AA batteries (not included) /td/tr/table/pptable border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="5"trtd valign="top" align="left"div align="left"/b

Fantastic! October 17, 2008 Forgetful Lucy (Gloucester, UK) We bought this for our little girl when she was about 2 months old. She is now six months and this product is great. In the four months of using it, it has failed to put her to sleep within the 10 minute cycle only 3 times (when she was teething). Would strongly recommend it to other new parents!
FAB October 8, 2008 Mrs. N. Dunningham My 6 week old baby boy has a thing for gazing at lights or the sun shinning in through the windows whenever he was awake and it would stop him crying too. So i decided to buy one of these to see if it helped settle him at sleep times. My god!! first time we put him down with it he was mesmerised and we didn't hear a peep from him. Works a treat strongly recommend it.
Okay but not that great July 28, 2008 E. A. FISHER (Cheshire, United Kingdom) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
br /Strengths: br / - Very lightweight br / - Cute music br / - Cute pictures from the light show br / br /Weaknesses: br / - Can easily be pulled down by baby using its fingers br / - Pictures are on a rotating disc, so may become boring after a while. br / - Once the baby sits up in the crib, this can be hazardous if it't attached to the side, because the light has a warning not to let eyes come in the way of the rays. br / - Probably useless after the child is four months old, if not before. br / br /A better buy, in my opinion, would be the mobiles from Tiny Love that have farm or zoo animals. These are well-designed, durable, and can be used well into the toddler years (without the mobile part). My 1.5 year old still enjoys playing the tunes from the base that held the mobile (which I removed around six months). I could not bring myself to take it away from him to give to his sister, so I had purchased this little Dreamshow.
Great Product June 29, 2008 P. Neri (Scotland) My little boy loves this, and I do too. It's great for distracting him as I leave the room before he goes to sleep. Wish it lasted longer than 10 mins though this is generally long enough. br / br /My son is now 10 months and has started hitting the star so that it rattles the side of his cot so not sure how much longer it will be of use to us. Also, I live in Northern Scotland and even with blackout blinds its not dark enough at night in the summer to see the light show, still benefit from the music though.
Wonderful May 15, 2008 M. D. Jacobs (The UK) This has become part of baby's bedtime routine. She absolutely loves it and doesn't seem to get bored of it - infact 6 months on and it still makes her smile, knowing that she's going to be whisked off into dreamland. Probably one of our best investments, and its great on batteries too!
