Might be better to go for BT 100?? October 27, 2008 P. Bailey (UK) After having looked at both the BT 100 and 150 we went for the 150 as it had the thermometer. The thermometer is inaccurate and poorly responsive - I've compared it against 2 other thermometers. You'd be better off buying a seperate room thermometer. As for all the extra functions, It's early days, but I can't see we're ever going to use them! Sound quality and adjustable sensitivity functions are great but I suspect the BT 100 would do the job of 'baby monitoring' just as well.
very good, but not as good as its predecessor! October 6, 2008 Mr. T. J. Wilkins (Oxfordshire, UK) We have this monitor for our second baby, and its predecessor for our first (3 storey house, 2 monitors required!) The sound quality sensitivity is as good, however the battery doesnt seem to last as long on the parent unit. Also, occasionally it has been tempermental connecting to the baby unit. Overall, very good, glad we stuck with the same manufacturer.BT Digital Baby Monitor
Excellent sound quality September 26, 2008 ellenvannin (London, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We had a video monitor that we'd purchased with air points but its wireless connection was prone to terrible interference, meaning you could only use it without sound. This monitor has clear sound (we're in east london and do not experience any interference problems as others have), the parent unit is convenient to tote around and works well in the garden. The torch is a nice feature. Talkback is handy for the early evening feed where I'm in the nursery and other half is in the kitchen, but I drop one star for making the talk button too easy to hit - I'm terrified I'll accidentally hit it and wake the baby... br /The lights that indicate sound level are a good touch, so that if you're using the parent unit in a noisy kitchen you can still see if there are stirrings from The Beast. br /Temperature reading is useful, I notice one person has found it inaccurate but I think if you establish a baseline this will then tell you if you've got a sudden rise or fall. br /Haven't used the lullabies or MP3 function - we have a CD player in the nursery for that. br /NB first timers - would advise AGAINST video monitors - they make you hover too much!!
Reassuringly expensive ;) August 22, 2008 Matt C (UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Before buying this monitor I did a fair bit of research to check that the high price was justified. After using the BT 150 for a few days both me and the wife (and newborn baby!) are impressed give it 5 stars. It's well built, looks decent, has great sound quality and has a bunch of features not found on other models (e.g. Aux input for MP3 players). br / br /The talk-back feature is especially useful if my wife is doing the feeding upstairs and I want to ask her whether she'd like a cup of tea from the living room. br / br /Audio doesn't seem to get any interference from the wifi point, nor from the wireless DECT phone.. and I don't think it's producing interference either. br / br /The nightlight is a little weak; I'd prefer it to be a bit brighter, but that's only a small criticism. We didn't go for the a model including a pressure-sensitive mat due to reports of false alarms and forgetting to turn it off before picking up the baby :-o br / br /Both units can be battery powered. br / br /Overall it's a well designed bit of kit which should suit everyone who's willing to spend that little bit extra.
