A bit disappointing August 27, 2008 When first received this item I was prepared to overlook the problems with the sound going out of synch with the picture every now and again, and also the remote which only works when pointed exactly in the right place - I put it down to getting what you pay for, and this was a very reasonably priced tv considering it had built in freeview and dvd. Now however, it takes up to ten goes of switching it on and off before both sound and vision appear! Have had this tv about 7 months and think I will see if it is possible to return it. Otherwise I will have to put it down as a bad buy. In hindsight wish I'd paid a bit more for a better quality tv!
great tv!!! July 4, 2008 i bought this tv 4 months ago and havnt had a single problem yet. it looks great, the picture is great and so is the sound quality. it makes a bit of noise whilst loading but is virtually silent during the dvd. all in all its great value and an awesome buy!

Ordered two of these. The first one was faulty as it had a massive scratch behind the screen within the LCD panel itself, and the replacement had dead pixels, making it unwatchable. The build is what you expect for a cheap TV. The packaging is awful and its badly supported in the box which means that it can get knocked about a bit in transit. Sound quality is average and the colour takes a lot of messing with to get a fairly average picture. The DVD is very noisy, but is multi-region which essentially the only thing that this model has going for it.
Easy touch and easy installation April 26, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
One concern I had before buying this was the lack of information on wall mounting. I didn't need to be concerned, it is VESA 100 x 100 compatible.
Installed very easily, TV has auto tune for both analogue and digital tuners. Changing between analogue and digital is very easy (2 button presses on remote).
I've had none of the DVD drive noise that some others have mentioned.
There are 3 reasons I haven't given this the full 5 out of 5. Firstly, the sound is slightly weak, but as this was a second TV for a bedroom, that wasn't a big issue. Secondly, the manual isn't the best, so anyone who struggles with technology might take a while getting used to the set. Thirdly, the analogue picture quality is just not quite as sharp as some of the more expensive sets.
However, for 200 you can't argue. It is excellent value for money. It provides a lot of features, and it looks pretty good to.

This was (I thought) a good value purchase for the kitchen/breakfast room and set up relatively quickly. The picture is good and it looks OK on the wall. The DVD player is fine and I didn't hear any noise that others complain of. That's the good side, now the not so good. The sound is tinny and will need external speakers if you want good sound from the TV - the bass is almost non existent on the little 3W speakers. The thing that I am having problem with is the length of time to start up. When I first got it it seemed to be fairly responsive. Now it takes up to 10minutes before it finally warms up whatever circuitry they have for the digital TV even though signal strength is shown to be 70%. Forget trying to catch the news if you rush in for a quick cup of tea. I only have a standard portable aerial and wonder if a booster will help. Expensive to trial as a booster aerial costs another 20. Has anyone had any experience with this. I suppose if you pay another 100 you may get better but all seem to have one problem or another and have fewer features. You get what you pay for is a true saying but it is frustrating nevertheless especially in this day and age of instant start up circuitry - maybe there are some secret valves inside warming up!!.
