5 out of 5 stars Faultless   July 5, 2008
This television is pretty much faultless. It's easy to set up and use and has many capabilities - many functional ports and so on.

The Freeview with it is brilliant BUT can be affected by which aerial you use. For example, I use the aerial I had for this television's predecessor and it works great but can get errors/interuptions with the reception when there's bad weather i.e. strong wind and heavy rain.
The picture quailty, when not connected to anything HD-wise, is fantastic anyway (that is, using the DTV option).

To conclude, this television is exceptional, fulfilling many, if not all, of any television user's needs. I highly recommend this TV especially for those seeking a set for somewhere like their bedroom or something similar - it's the perfect size.
I researched this product in depth and found Amazon to be the best place in which to purchase this product - concerning cost, delivery etc.

4 out of 5 stars Samunsung Tv   June 20, 2008
very good buy, looks well, the sound and picture is great, the only thing i will say is when you go to watch it from when its on standby is slow and can take up to 10 sec's, doesn't sound much but it gets annoying everytime you go to turn it on.

5 out of 5 stars An excellent product   June 14, 2008

I bought this television so that it could be used as a player for games consoles, a monitor for the computer as well as a freeview television. It does all these very well, and I am very pleased with it.
I did have a few problems setting up the freeview because I tried to scan the channels during the day, and could not find all the major channels such as BBC1,2,ITV 1,2 and several other channels.
I have had similar problems with some freeview boxes and PCs before in that trying to scan for the channels during the day seems to make tuning the channels tricky.
I rescanned the channels after 7 pm and was able to set up all the channels easily.

4 out of 5 stars great but not perfect   April 19, 2008

Bought this tv a few weeks ago after A LOT of research, price versus quality being main considerations. Very happy with screen quality and sounds much better than expected - there is a surround sound setting which adds a lot to the bass and takes away that tinny quality. Lots of people describe a 19" screen as 'bedroom' size - we sit about 8-10' away and we're not straining! But then again, I don't want to be dominated by tv and used a portable 14" prior to this! However, be warned, 1. the one scart annoyed me as I wanted to be able to record via video and watch terrestrial while recording - with one scart YOU CAN'T DO THIS. I called samsung and they talked about scart extensions and complicated wiring procedures - at which point I gave up and ordered a Goodmans twin tuner hard disk recorder - this has done the trick - now I can record 2 programmes at once and still watch 3rd channel on TV (what a saddo!) 2. The remote is slow and gets frustrating as you keep pressing thinking it hasn't registered and then find out you've gone past the channel you wanted! However, all in all an excellent product for the price and good looking too!
