Re: My Wifes cancer

Sorry, a few things have happened which is why I haven't been around much recently. I was going to update this thread a little later but now is as good a time as any.

a couple of weeks ago She felt dizzy and kept loosing here balance. The doc rushed into hospital for a brain CT scan and blood tests fearing that it might be a tumor. After 12 hours being forgoten then remembered then moved then tested then forgoten again (all in the hospital waiting room), it turned out she is cancer free (TOTALLY) . However she did have an inner ear infection that was causing the balance issues so they gave her a shot to boost her immune system, unfortunately they gave her an injection that was high in sulphers (which she is allergic to) which knocked her around quite serverely for a week and a half. Oh well you can't win them all!!

big cheeryO to all who read this

yes, they believe it is terminal and will return. We, however don't believe this, I believe we will both see retirement. Just a gut feeling. Also the treatement only took half the time to kill all the cancer with only 10%of the expected side effects. Also the oncologist ( a hardened, poker faced specialist) couldn't hide his confusion at how fast the healing was.

All props to the big man upstairs and his legion of warriors on HTS!!

Re: My Wifes cancer

Well things have had a turn, (more of an altercation) for the worse (maybe). Although we are told she is still in remmision, her health has gone downhill very fast, she has no energy and is very tired and dizzy. Her doctor keeps prescribing anti-biotics saying it is an infection but there seems to be no let up.

Any prayers or thoughts would be appreciated, thank you.

Re: My Wifes cancer

I lost my mom a couple years ago to cancer. I know how hard it is to see someone you care about sick and feeling so helpless. At times it can drain everything out of you. I want you and your wife to know that both of you are in my thoughs and prayers.
