Which Aussie BW mix to use? Low ambient light room

Hi guys,

I'm a BW user from a few years ago (I posted this, many moons ago:
and
).. but now I have moved into a new place which happens to have a dedicated home theatre room

Here is a pic of it: http://imgur.com/ErJMMgW. The room is very well light controlled at night, with almost negligible ambient light. I'm getting rid of the screen there, as I want to utilise the whole wall.

Due to my location (Australia), I am limited in the paints which I can obtain...I have read the Wikipedia page for Black Widow wall paint (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Widow_(paint_mix)) and I essentially have the following options, using the NEW formula for Auto-Aluminium Base:

AAA + Dulux "Milton Moon" - N7.4
AAA + Dulux "Tranquil Retreat" - N7.9
AAA + Dulux "Ashville" - N8.1

My current projector is poor - a Sony VPL-EX130. 3000 lumens, 700:1 contrast (http://www.projectorcentral.com/Sony-VPL-EX130.htm)

I eventually want to upgrade to something much better, say a Epson PowerLite 3500, which is 2500 lumens, 70000:1 (http://www.projectorcentral.com/Epso...inema_3500.htm).

I love a bright picture, so looking to get it as bright as possible.

So my question is, which of the three Aussie BW mixes should I go for? I don't really have the time and resources to experiment with a few different mixes, so I am hoping to get it right the first time. I'm leaning towards the N7.4 "Milton Moon" mix, but I'm happy to be corrected.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys!!!

Re: Which Aussie BW mix to use? Low ambient light room

Thanks mechman.

I recall reading somewhere that a BW mix had some annoying 'sparkles' in white light...was that a one-off issue?

Also, can I trust the wikipedia page mixes? As listed on: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Widow_(paint_mix ?
