paint for 110" drywall recommandation for Sony 45ES

I haven't been on the forums for a long time (old "clark17") user...

I will post a link to my setup once I get posting links perms. You can find it under clark17 if interested.

At the moment I'm using Optoma 25e projector (1080P DLP, 2800 ANSI lumens, 20000:1 contrast, 1.20:1zoom) and my 110" is painted with N7 natural grey, Harpmaker send me the sample I've used to match at local Lowes. I've tried scorpion n8 but it was too light for Optoma 25e bright output even using low setting for bulb. Now my bulb is reaching 2,000hrs and I'm thinking about upgrading the PJ. I don't want to go to 4k yet (not many choices, and I would have to invest in my current 1080p setup). Hence I'm thinking about buying Sony 45ES which should give me "improved" colors and black levels, however at the cost of light output.

I'm about 13.1' from the 110" now and according to the projector calculator Image Brightness is 38fL (12% (4 fc) for max room lighting). This probably uses bulb in full mode (not eco I'm using).

The Sony 45ES (1080P SXRD, 1800 ANSI lumens, 120000:1 contrast, 1.60:1 zoom). According to the projector calculator Image Brightness is 23fL (7% (3fc) for max room lighting).

I have a full control of light so I don't have any issues with room lightning.

What paint would you guys recommend for Sony 45ES and my setup? I would like to keep Sony running on low bulb mode and I think my current N7 grey painted screen might be too dark. I will try to find if I have any left Scorpion N8 paint. I also might have some Black Widow paint mix, but I don't know if it still any good (at least 7 years old :-().

Any comments would be much appreciated.

BTW... I live in Canada so my options might be a little limited to what I can get :-)

Thank you in advance...

I say audition the Epson 4040 before you buy the Sony...you only live once you know..

My DIY screen painted with Black matte primer / 3 coats BEHR Silver Screen and my 5040 Epson is hard to beat
