Great, thanks. I know it's a very busy time of year.

Re: Cheap Velvet Tape for Screen Border? Alternatives?

Update: I just recently applied the black felt tape to my screen area and I love the results! The felt absorbs the light wonderfully and cleans up my screen edges nicely. I probably should have gone wider than my 1 inch boarder tape but the results still do look very nice. The tape was extremely easy to work with and also cheap (11-15 dollars per roll of 75 feet) I may end up doing another inch around the outside of the screen area for good measure. For the price it is worth a try in my book! The tape adheres to my cool concrete basement wall with no issue. I have even been able to re-position the tape and re-adhere it as necessary (even several days after application, when I applied a 2 inch piece to test it on my wall). I feel it was a great purchase.

Also used this (2" wide) while I am test driving paint. For the price and less than 45 minutes and one utility knife blade later I must say I was very impressed with the results. Very easy to use. All I did (knowing this is probably "temporary") is put up an image, run the tape around all four sides, cut them square and then use a utility knife to cut 45degeree mitre corners, peel back the two cuts and then press back together. Had one very small (1/4 cm) spot I used a black sharpie on. It wasn't 3 dimensional like real velvet wrapped trim and it wasn't as light absorbent as other velvets I have seen, but for the $ and time invested I would say it would be a huge $25, 1 hour upgrade to any on wall painted screen and well worth the minimal amount of time and money. It does make it look much nicer and the viewing seems easier and nicer too. All is all, a great DYI project and material if fast and cheap are what you are looking for!

Take a look here.

You'll have to cut strips and add adhesive on your oawn, but this fabric won't stretch as you pull it to get a tight wrap. You could probably get away with just stapling, and may need to staple anyway with the self-adhesive tape. Small staples won't show.
