lol will I really be met with such resistance? Tis just paint

if I need to throw down with some old biddy in the paint section I will
Not resistance per se, but you just might get someone new at the job or doesn't really want to put the effort into looking for a specific color. It happens more often than you might think...

I had another thought. How in the world would one go about painting a screen on their wall without framing it? do people do that?
They tape the area off as already stated. It is actually one of the best ways to make sure you get the screen done to the exact size you need. Fire up the PJ and then tape around the border of the illuminated area.

fair enough. I'm at work now, going to HD after I leave here. This OT will help with my HT funds.. nobody has to know

I taped up my room last night so its ready to rock and roll. By the time I was done, I had a few too many "sodas" to be comfortable with painting. lol

I will do two coats in the stealth jet this afternoon/evening.

Just a quick update. I got a coat on half of the room and i let it dry. It needs a second coat, the stuff is so dark the white comes through a lot. But initial resuly is it looks awesome!

Even my fiance likes it. I did have to meet her in the middle and leave the ceiling white. I will test it and if itd a big issue ill hit it with a flat gray down the line.

Im at home depot getting a second gallon. Need more than just a quart.

Ill post pics when i get home

Yeah, dark colors usually take more paint to cover a lighter color.

A quart would be more than enough for your screen, not the rest of your walls.

Here are some updates.

Walls painted with Behr Sealth Jet. The screen with Glidden Premium flat finish tinted to Glidden Veil.

I also sanded the screen area well before 1st coat. May need to sand again not sure.

Before i painted i taped it off and opened my window for light. Found a surprise...

This PJ looks awesome in rooms with ambient light!

This pic i had my hallway door open, two lights on and the outside curtain wide open onto a charcoal grey wall! It was clear as day. I am very impressed.

Anyway onto the first coat.

Looks much more clear than on the dark wall.

Here are same conditions as first pic. Basically the pjs worst nightmare but now with the new Veil first coat
