It may warrant further investigation! I think when I get rdy to paint ill make a few samples with slightly altered mixes for higher gain just to play with it. I have such a narrow living room that I may be able to make it work. If not the main standard formulas are proven good anyways!

It just had so much PUNCH with that little gain sample , while retaining the n6 blacks
Im sure itl be a fishing expedition with no decent results but itl be fun to try.

Hey, don't shoot the idea down! The more narrow your viewing cone the more gain you can have without the hot spotting bothering you. We make our mixes to cater to the widest amount of home theaters which means assuming a wide viewing cone is in use.

Using gloss alone to raise gain will ensure there is no artifacting from reflective agents in the mix, but I think you will find that there is a small difference between enough and too much. Have fun; let us know what you find.
