Re: car sub and box help

How much room do you have for this subwoofer?

Most of these will be ok but nothing special. Porting most of these subwoofers will require a large cabinet. There are some TH's that can use the 1260 and produce very good results. So if you have the room and very little budget a horned subwoofer would be your best bet for HT. If not then large ported would be the next step.

Re: car sub and box help

For this 12 you will need a big box to dig low. Something like 5cuft ported at 20hz for movies. Only take about 300watts to hit Xmax with a 18hz 3rd order Hpass.
