Dayton HO 12 vs Ultimax 10 for small sealed HT build?

I'm working on a small home theater and I want to tackle the subs. I've got spouse approval for dual subs if I keep them small, so I'm thinking ~1 cut ft sealed with some DSP. Keeping in mind that for me smaller is better... am I better off with two HO 12's or two Ultimax 10's? I havent settled on amplification yet so I have some flexibility there.

Any thoughts?

Big J

The RS are great for SQ, but not SPL. If you want LFE rumbles in the very limited space of two 1cuft boxes, go for the ultimax.

Re: Dayton HO 12 vs Ultimax 10 for small sealed HT build?

So I've settled on 2 Ultimax 10's in small sealed enclosures. I'll have about 0.85 cu ft each for volume. I have an iNuke 3000dsp for power... but I'm new to the dsp thing. Where is a good place to start with dsp settings to get the most out of these little subs?
