Who can fix a stale link?

The link to download my REW guide in this thread is stale: http://www.hometheatershack.com/foru...ease-read.html

The updated link is: REW Guide download on Dropbox.com

Can someone fix the stale link, please?

Hi,

Is the one you want changed suppose to be REW 101 Step By Step Setup Guide, by AustinJerry and others at AVS Forum, Rev 4.4 Dec 31, 2015 ?

Let me know exactly which one I'm swapping out and I'll make sure to get that done for you.

Cheers,
Sheena

Re: Who can fix a stale link?

Before we fix, just want to double check if the link should go to:

REW Connection and Cabling Basics......[PLEASE READ]
or
REW Online HELP Files

Let us know and we'll get this done for you.

Kevin,

I thought I was clear in my original post. The like highlighted below is stale.

It should be replaced with this link: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...%20Version.pdf

Thanks!

I think the link broke again. Please, can we fix this again ASAP?
Arrrggh! Just when I needed this guide the most, it disappears. It was here last week. This is where it leads me now:

There's at least one "new" link to the Rev 5.3, February 15, 2017 version over on the AVS forum:

which I lifted from this thread.

On March 15, Dropbox.com changed the way links to files stored on their site are shared. This rendered all previous shared links to become instantly stale. I have over 15,000 posts on AVS, many of them with Dropbox links to screenshots, etc., which became instantly obsolete. Why Dropbox made this change, I don't know, but it has certainly made my life miserable trying to restore working links to important file shares.

I sent a PM yesterday to @brucek with an updated link so that the sticky link here on HTS could be updated. I have not received a reply from him yet, so perhaps I sent the link to the wrong person. Regardless, here is the updated link. If a moderator could make the update, I would appreciate it.
