Question 16:9 vs. 15:9

Hi folks,
So, I have a PJ that can do 15:9 or 16:9. I do not want to see black bars all the time. Should I build the screen to the 15:9 or 16:9 screen size measurements? Primary sources will be non HTPC.

However, even if I go with an HTPC in the future, would I need 15:9 or can the HTPC output 16:9?

Totally confused on this one

Re: 16:9 vs. 15:9

I think I will got with the 16:9 since the PJ is 1280x768 native and most sources with be 16:9.

16:9 will be 1280x720 and the extra 48 pixels will go into the border.

Depending on the source aspect ratio you'll still see black bars from time to time. The only real way to eliminate them is with a masking system.
