not sure about the stuffing and how it plays into the volume, but the internal volume by my calculation minus driver, amp, and brace was 6.35 cu ft.

WinISD suggests 5.35 for Shiva, so I can trim the box a bit without sacrificing too much output.

double check the application notes included with the sub or perhaps start a thread here in the exodus section to get opinions. Kevin will surely chime in as will others if they believe your dimensions may or may not work. good luck!

Thanks, that's a very helpful document. Interestingly, 5cf is considered an EBS design with 18Hz tuning. After playing with WinISD I concluded that going larger would give me more output near the tunning frequency, but there's nothing terribly wrong with a box of 5cf or even a bit smaller. It's more important to get the tuning right for whatever size I eventually end up with. I'll probably end up equalizing the out of this thing anyway.
