12" LMS R sonotube build?

Hello

I am thinking I might be better off with dual subs rather than one big one with a 3 LMSRs.

SO the question is what size sonotube would i Need to run my 12" LMSRs. Thinking of building 2 ported.

Any help is greatly appreactiated.

Are these for home theater?

If so you could use a 17" wide tube. But it all depends on how low you want to tune for and your space restrictions.

That's not 18" put in the program. That's 22" of sonotube (1'10")

The LMS-R12 is best suited to a small box with PR's. How much power are you going to use with one driver? This will determine what we can get away with for porting.

HI Mike

How will it perform best. If I go with a small box with 1 or 2 prs what can I get out of it. I will put as much power to it as needed.

Doing the 3 I was orginally going to with the Hex box. Just is to complicated of a build for me and box building cost estimates I have gotten are 750-1K. I can do a normal box myself not so complicated.

Hex would be a cool design and it would not be that difficult to build. Just the angle cuts is all. But either way you could do a single box/pr's or buy another 12" and do dual 12's and 4pr's per cabinet or have three cabinets placed in completely different locations for better overall bass response.

Many options still out there.

For a PR setup the box would be a 21" cube.
PR's are a pair of CSS APR 15's with 900 grams of mass added to each.
The tuning frequency is 21 hz.
Power is 1200 watts with a HPF at 18 hz.
