Re: Mach 5 Audio IXL-18.4 Build

Hi Jezza and welcome!

I love them, they take a beating constantly and keep on going. The only thing I would do differently is not use the egg crate foam as it has been said it has no effect. Live and learn. The EP2500 doesn't have a hi-pass filter, you may have to add one if you push the subs hard and they bottom out.

How big of a room will the subs be in?

That's what I have in mine but I wouldn't know how different they would sound. Are you using anything different?

Re: Mach 5 Audio IXL-18.4 Build

If you're referring to amplifiers, I use a plate amp for each sub that has a hi-pass filter at 15 hz.

The ports are 30" long each. Start a build thread once you get started.

Hey Mike,
What plate amp are you using? I didn't see it listed in the thread unless I missed it...
