Average the responses?

How does the (Average the responses) feature select the frequency where it combines the frequency response?

Re: Average the responses?

The responses are average at all frequencies for which they overlap. If you want to merge responses at some frequency there is a merge B to A option in the All SPL graph trace arithmetic controls, in that case the merge frequency is specified in the controls.

Re: Average the responses?

Thank you. I've tried the merge function it leaves a dip it does not sum the merge point.

Re: Average the responses?

Also when I apply the offset dB to raise or lower the frequency response in order for them to match and then merge the two frequencies, the merged plot still has the different dB at merge point.

Re: Average the responses?

Merge matches level and phase at the merge frequency, there is no need to do any manual offsetting. If you post the measurements you are trying to merge happy to take a look.

Re: Average the responses?

Did the imported responses have phase data or magnitude only? Just noticed there is a bug if merge is attempted on a pair of responses that only have magnitude data that would prevent the result measurement being generated.
