Bedroom measurements

I thought I might share some newer results and see what others think. The room is 45'+ wide and about 17' long at the longest length. There are 4 12" crystal acoustics subwoofers powered by 4 MA500 Marantz mono amps. My soundcard is a soundblaster MP3+. There is an outlaw 950 and currently just some desktop speakers from headphone out (optical for sub) that include a subwoofer. I only measured the 4 subs for the test. Volume I set on REW fairly low in the windows mixer at 16, while my master volume on the outlaw is at -20.

In the room I have 8 2" 24X24 traps, 3 GIK 244's, and two monster traps. I have others not in the room yet that I will add later on. I had not expected to see so much ringing on the waterfall. Thoughts?

Re: Bedroom measurements

It’s surprising that four 12” subs are essentially dead @ 30 Hz. Perhaps that’s due to less-than-optimal placement, or placement in both good and bad locations combining to get poor extension. Do independent measurements of the four show any getting below 30 Hz?

It’s not as bad as looks. It only looks bad because the SPL level the measurement was taken at is so high. The best way to gauge the effectiveness of the traps is to take separate measurements with them in the room, and out of the room.

Wayne

I thought I will try some different locations once I have a listen. Dead at 30Hz? My subsonic filter is not even connected. The mic is setting at the edge of my bed about 2' off the floor.

30Hz

Individual subs. All are located under the screen, and one is very close to the wall.
