Manual measurements

Not quite REW, but REW inspired: In the hopes of trying get some some idea of my FR, I used a test tone CD (1:40 for each 10hz, so 10 seconds per hz), measured using a RS analog meter, jotted down my results along the way. I snagged the .cal file for my RS meter and updated my initial results by adding the adjustments called for in the .cal file (not exact science, since the .cal file is a bit more exact and I had to round up or down to the nearest dcb). The final results are, from my line of thinking, a decent idea of my FR.

While I'm sure it is a far more manual process, and comes with some level of drawbacks - should my results still be a decently good representation of my in room FR??? Not to bring the REW era back to the prehistoric, but just wondering if what I did is generally OK, or if there is a major flaw with my methods?

Thanks for any thoughts / opinions.

It is OK, if fairly tedious but gives a limited view of the room as you cannot look at waterfalls (for example) to see which frequencies take longer to decay.
