my new measurement with mic, headache on dip at 30hz, any comments?

now i got chance to use professional measurement mic. and last night i spent several hours in struggling for making new measurement, but the result makes me feel so headache about the dip at 30HZ.

see attached data.

seek for comments on if i am making a right measurement, or suggestions to me to get rid of this DEEP dip at 30hz. any possiblities that i can try?

i use Left Line out and in for loop back.

May I ask what mic you are using? That dip could be many reasons including a phaze issue with your speakers or another sub if you have a second one. Please let us know what your crossover is set at for all speakers and any other info that you can think of including room dimensions.

Home theater:
Onkyo 805, Yamaha YDP2006EQ, Samson Servo 600 amp
3 EV Sentry 500 monitors across the front, 4 Mission 762i's Surrounds, SVS PB13U sub, Panasonic BDT220, Harmony 1100, Nintendo WiiU
Panasonic PT-AE8000 on a 120" 2,35:1 fixed screen

Living room system:
Sherwood/Newcastle R972, Mission 765's, SVS SBS02's, A/D/S MS3u sub, Yamaha YDG2030EQ
Yamaha KX-393 Tape deck, CDC 805 CD changer, Panasonic BD60, Sony turntable PS-T20
Panasonic TC-P50ST60, HD-PVR & WDTV Live, Harmony 900

i just got a chance to use Earthworks M30 which seems to be a quite professional Mic.

i measuring one main speaker(Front right ) with my only sub. before measuring, i set Xover at 80HZ. and
using stereo mode with XLR input(set to DSP mode, which means my Cary 12 preamp will do the Bass management things such as LP&HP at Xover point). and set my Sub to bypass mode( no LP filter applied).
also before measuring, i use my SPL to balance the main and SUb's sound pressure level to 75DB.

and i tried also that turned my SUB almost 360degree with mointoring the RTA in REW. this 30HZ dip seems so consistantly there. but i didn't move the positon of my sub during my measuring.

i plan to have new round of measurement when i got the electronic calibration file dedicated to this mic. to see any difference. i guess there shall be no critical difference due to w/o calibration file. right?

Before you do any adjustments get the calibration file installed as without it your readings are fairly much useless.

Turn the DSP processing OFF.

You want to determine the baseline response without various additional variables interfering with the behavior.

Please indicate the position and orientation of the subwoofer with respect to the various boundaries, as SBIR may also be a factor.

DSP is the last thing that should be enabled AFTER you physically optimize the setup.

Also, the optimal orientation of the M30 is vertical.
