Question Could someone please help me calibrate my sound card?

What am I doing wrong? I keep getting variations from 99db to 140db when I try to calibrate the sound card. It's Realtek HD Audio, XP, Eee PC laptop, stereo 3.5mm jack in the input & output, Java, 48khz, 32k buffer, -30db FS, right.

Re: Could someone please help me calibrate my sound card?

Under XP the most common problem would be not having Line In muted in the Windows Recording volume controls. See the notes on soundcard volume controls in the help here.

Thank you John for responding! That wasn't the problem. The sweep is 200hz and the result that pops up says to 20Khz. That difference was throwing me off. Now I gotta figure how I got those flat responses to 200hz from a couple of days ago that I deleted!
