Does "Stereo" or "Straight" bypass AV Reciever settings ?

Does "Stereo" or "Straight" on the AV Reciever bypass Crossover and Small or Large settings for measurements with REW ??

No, only if you use pure direct mode.

Home theater:
Onkyo 805, Yamaha YDP2006EQ, Samson Servo 600 amp

Ok so if i want to measure my main speakers full range i have to set to Large and also set to "No Sub" or Fronts for LFE in setup ?

Yes, or like I said just use the Pure/Direct mode if your receiver has it.

What receiver is it? Different brands use different names for various modes.




Looking for me, just google my username. I have used the same one for most sites for many years.

Usually "Stereo" mode uses whatever processing you have setup and down-mixes to 2.0 or 2.1. Like Tony said, "Pure Direct" or "Direct" is what you'd want to use to send an untouched signal through the amp. To my experience Denon, Marantz, Sony, and Onkyo all do this. Not sure on others.

One other thing ,...To measure just( CC with Sub) I read to put in PL II mode ,.. But my Yamaha RXV 657 does nt seem to have that mode ??
