90 litre single 15" driver project.

I'm currently building a sealed sub for someone and thought I would share it with you guys and get a bit of a critique if needed. You'll have to excuse any pics of poor quality as I had an issue with the camera half way through the build and had to use my phone for some of them. Its almost complete now, so I'll post pics of the finished article soon.

Hope you enjoy and find it useful

Cheers

Re: 90 litre single 15" driver project.

It is, they seem to be gaining a little popularity in the UK, probably due to a bit of attention myself on a couple others gave them. The first sub I built using these was pretty good for me so Ive stuck with them.

I do have ideas on trying some other drivers out at some point, but not for a little while yet.

Is it the 15X or the 15H?

Looks really good mate. Very impressed. Be interesting what other drivers you have in mind and what type of sub, i.e: sealed, ported etc.....

I have been very interested in Mark Seatons new Terraform XL which has the two 15" subs and 2 18" PR's and a big slot port. Its the idea I find very intersting.

cheers

Thats got to be one of a design headache. It sounds more like he's trying to build 2 subs in one to get a couple different tunes and get a better response with more output. See what the reviews are like when it lands.

I want to try a couple ported designs, partly just to be thorough. I like the look of the Soundsplinter divers, and I also fancy something daft just for fun, but its a long shot if that'll every happen. I also want to try a sealed twin driver cylinder sub to see how that works as a design.

Re: 90 litre single 15" driver project.

Dan,

The soundsplitters model really well including the mealstrom's and Tempest 2's.
Would you look to do a veneer finish as well.

Here's the link to Marks new toy.

You would understand the techy side of things alot more than I would.

Re: 90 litre single 15" driver project.

I'm actually going to do a ported 15" sub soon, and that will be veneered. Its being made to match a set of Mordant Short speakers. The guys who wants me to build it actually is considering having 2.

This project is looking beautiful and those subs look nice. I just hope my project turns out as good as yours.
