Re: IB off center..will it work?

Then how do you know that the dinosaurs are coming?:gulp:

Fair enough. another benefit I will grant you is that for a given hole in your room you get to fit more drivers. That can't be bad.

Re: IB off center..will it work?

Agreed, but you have to assume constant motion, and music/movies do not provide that. It is not like the source is providing a constant 40hz at a given level for an extended period of time. There...

Catching up

So I need some help. After a massive remodel (put on a third floor), a second kid (another girl) and a job/career change I am finally getting the theater back up and running.

The...

Re: IB off center..will it work?

I think that the whole vibrating thing gets a little too much attention. Keep in mind that your average 18" woofer diagram weighs 150 grams (very little research done here but I am probably close)...

Re: Would an IB setup work here?

The sealed ceiling joists are definately an issue. Once I put a lid on my laundry/storage room where the back wall of the IB is the sound was noticably different, and I also had to redo my eq as the...

Re: IB off center..will it work?

I am a bit confused here. You are planning on taking out the drywall to the studs (in the bay where the sub goes) anyway right? If so then I am not sure how a line array will be a problem. Just...

Re: Bonds Vs Babe

Nope, steriods are illegal too, unless prescribed by a doc. And no doc prescribes them for that kind of use. My thought is that it is how the drugs are perceived. Steroids are not a "fun" drug,...

Re: Bonds Vs Babe

Now here is something interesting, Doc and Howe and the rest. Drummed out of baseball for coke. Why? If we are not going to kick out steroid users, how can kicking out coke addicts be justified. ...

Re: IB all done

Thanks guys.

I used 15" Dayton DVCs, not neccesarily my first choice, but they were running a deal too good to pass up and I liked the flexibility of the DVC. I am running them off of a crown 402...

Re: HDMI audio support in receivers

It depends on what version of HDMI the gear uses. Earlier versions don't do the sound at all, as if things weren't confusing enough. The latest version is HDMI 1.3 and it will do all that HDMI...
