I was also thinking of isolating the recording space a bit - can fabric do the job (like curtains) or do I absolutely need sturdy...

Well, that was the idea before I got into this fourm, yes :rofl2:

With the listening position being changed, I need to rethink the whole thing anyway.
I only had in mind to block bass reflections...

Yes, I could - they are brick walls with standard finishing.
But I was thinking of mounting the monitors on monitor stands, is that good? It offers more flexibility in case I need to fiddle with...

I have a non symmetrical cnotrol / recording room (see Plan).

I want to know if there's any point in treating the room before I buy nice equipment to put in, or I can use some fancy EQ...
