Re: JL Audio 10w6V2 enclosure design

Agreed. I know if I want crazy low extension there's no way around it: I need a large woofer with a lower fs and more excursion. I like how musical 10's can be though. Ideally I want a box design...

Re: JL Audio 10w6V2 enclosure design

I don't know how you did it man. I modelled 3cuft at 16 to 20 hz, the cone excursion goes crazy and it looses spl. How's it possible, tuning the box so far below the fs unloads the cone and all...

The red plot is 3cuft tuned to 27Hz. Highpass Butterworth, 4th order @ 23Hz
I also added on a couple parametric EQ's:

Re: JL Audio 10w6V2 enclosure design

Lol, I'm aware. As I pointed out in my first post, I have expectations but I know what a 10" sub is capable of.

JL Audio 10w6V2 enclosure design

Room is 14.5' wide, 26' long, and 7.5' tall. Acoustic tiles in ceiling. Corner bass traps going in shortly as...

I agree that I have too much exposed parralel surface. What freq range do I need to target?...
