how can i connect a powered subwoofer?

Hey, what's up. I have a bluray samsung home theater system with no subwoofer pre out. I want to use a powered subwoofer, however, it seems that the only way to connect it to the home theater is through the subwoofer out which is 170 RMX. So I was wondering if I can use this line converter in order to connect powered subwoofer?

80 watt line converter

Re: how can i connect a powered subwoofer?

Your subwoofer doesn't have a high-level input?

The Scosche LOC80 appears to do exactly what you want, but if it will only handle 80W/channel, you might burn it out with your subwoofer if 170W RMS is what you meant.

That one seems need a 12V power supply. It doesn't say so in the item description, but in the questions below, there are plenty of references to how it is connected to an automobile 12V system.
