Re: Crown Amps

Since they're now owned by Harmon International a new business model exists.

Which lines, and why were they better?

Re: Crown Amps

I was wondering why the XS models were discontinued? I have seen some pretty good deals on the Crown XS500/XS700 and was wondering if this would make a good subwoofer amp (Frequency Response (at 1 watt): 22 Hz to 22 kHz: 1 dB. kind of scares me for my sub thats tuned to 15.5hz, should it?). Also would you think I would be able to tell any difference the between the Crown and my EP1500 or is the cheaper amp going to do just as fine of a job for subwoofer duties?

Thumbs up Re: Crown Amps

These new units with the x/o and parametrec eq are appealing to me, very inexpensive too, I have a MT2400 & a MT 600, the 2400 is failing not sure if its worthhe bucks to repair?

Re: Crown Amps

Crown MICRO-TECH 1200 Amplifier

no longer available

Crown's first touring workhorse, the Micro-Tech Series, delivers industry standard performance and reliability.

Now I understand. Yes, there are a lot of Crown amps no longer being made.
The "New business model" moves amps to newer technologies, lighter weight units, with more capabilities.
