How to Set the Peak Limiter values on a Behringer 6000DSP

I use a Behringer iNuke 6000DSP to drive my DIY-sub. (one channel)
How should I determine the values for the limiter? (Hold and Release)

I also would like to determine the Vp (peak Voltage)
The limiter is set at 128V for this driver (Monacor 18") The Behringer software says this is 1000W at 8Ω
On the other hand, in WinISD, when typing 1000W in the 'system input power', it results in 86V for the 'driver input voltage'
Very different...

And I get the |impression| this driver can take more.

So...How do I determine the peak Voltage, Hold and Release values for my sub?

I'm guessing the WinISD voltage display is an RMS value, not a peak-to-peak value. If you multiply the RMS value by the square root of 2, you get the peak value. So your 86V in WinISD would be 121.6V peak (87*1.4142).

That makes perfect sense, thank you!
How should I determine the values to fit the driver I'm using?

I'd set it to the corresponding power input that either causes the driver to reach xmax or something slightly above it. Maybe something like the input voltage to reach 105% of xmax, that way when your limiter activates you know you are pushing it to the sensible limit before excessive distortion You'll need to model your specific driver in your specific enclosure to determine that limit.
