inuke6000dsp fan mod: connector stucked

I am about to change the fan but i cant break the cable connector loose, it is glued
The thing also is that there is glue right there where the locking tiller is (on the right side of the image).
Has anybody overcome this problem?

I had the same issue, the glue stick really well and I couldn't easily dislodge it. I cut the wire and spliced instead.

I agree with Russ on this. Just cut and splice so you don't do something to the board by accident. Just solder the wires together and that should do it.

Thank you, thanks a lot, good to be here, not on my own with this. I will do it that way, shouldnt be any issue at all.

I just received the new fans, they have almost as much air flow as the original fans:

The mods have also manual VR in case they start to blow loud i have an option, but also have read cool things about those, very silent and have inordinary bearings:
