mixing 8 and 4 ohm speakers

I currently have a 7 channel Polk Audio LSI setup powered by a sunfire TGA 7201. I have been drooling over the new lsim and have ordered a pair of 705's and 706c in cherry. My rear surrounds are the lsifx bi-pole/di-pole and I absolutely love them, an upgrade will be in the future but funds and availability here in Canada is not feasible. question is... Will it be okay to run the front 3 speakers as 8 ohm and surrounds as 4 ohm? I will re-run the mcacc to even out all the levels, then doube check them with an spl meter. My re-search seems to point that it will be okay, the sunfire is a beast of an amp and barley gets warm after blasting movies to near reference level for hours.

Yes, you will be fine running LCR at 8 ohms and surrounds at 4 ohms.

Yup, all good. You will find the 4 ohm volume not as high as the 8ohm when you look at the levels after you run the mcacc, thats about it
