Balance adjust for an AVR that lacks the feature

My pair of Infinity 162s have excellent imaging abilities but my new AVR lacks balance adjustments for its zone 2 (or zone "A" as they call it). This basic function (or lack there of) is sacrificing my imaging quality. I love my new upa2 amp but it lacks independent channel adjustments, any suggestions? Im kinda stuck on my lame install situation, so correcting via hardware is not an option. My former avr had balance adjustments for zone 2 and I could get rock-solid imaging, so I know balance adjustment will solve this issue...

I suppose I could relegate the new upa2 to zone 3 where balance adjustment is irrelevant, and get an amp with independently adjustable channels later (I need an additional two channel eventually anyway), but Id prefer to make this amp work in this zone for now...

Short of buying a pro mixer, I'd say you are out of luck using the upa2 amp.
You might as well cut to the chase, and buy a stereo receiver, for that room.
I would suggest either the HK 3390 or 3490 receivers. Or the Outlaw RR2150 receiver.
