Thanks for the compliment. The system was something of a midlife (man, is that wishful thinking) crisis - okay, it was a 50th birthday present to myself. It's in a room above a stand alone garage and it's very well insulated - can crank it at 2:00AM and disturb nobody. The DIYness of the rack is fairly apparent if you look closely enough (one of these days, I'll learn how to stain woodwork properly). I guess I could give the photos to my son and let him photoshop the cables out of view, but it's a pain to mess with them for real. When the lights are off, as they are now, I can't see the wires. The power cables actually disappear beneath panels and there are three dedicated lines terminated in the floor.

The speaker wires are supported off the carpeting by Lapp ceramic insulators that I bought from an electrical supply house for a few bucks each.
With the price of these cables there is NOTHING wrong with showing them off.

Re: 2 Channel Picture Gallery

Here are a few photos of my DIY 2 channel speakers. They are a FAST design using a Dayton woofer and a Markaudio full range.

Re: 2 Channel Picture Gallery

The veneer is waterfall bubinga. It was a little tricky to wrap becaue the veneer is very thin and brittle, but they turned out well.
