The AKG K 701 Headphone, AKG's flagship headphone until being replaced by the K 812, is well-known for its flat...
Distortion at 75 dB SPL - well below 1%.
Distortion at 85 dB SPL - approaching 1% at some frequencies, still very good.
Distortion at 95 dB SPL - above 1% at some frequencies, but well under control.
IM Distortion (DIN)

R @ 75 dB SPL = 0.30%

Well, after a long hard search for the best deal on a decent set of headphones I finally settled on these AKG Q701s (same as the K701)
Ive been looking for something to use with my new Bravo Audio V3 headphone tube amp and I wanted something better than my old AKG K141s (from the late 1980s)...
I just picked up some limited edition AKG K518 headphones for when I go on a short 4day trip to Toronto later this month.
After doing some testing and comparison to some of the other headphones I have laying around I am very impressed considering the $50 price tag.
They are rated at 32ohm...
I already have this mic and was wondering if it would be at least as good as some of the $100 or less options like the behringer ECM 8000, nady CM100, or the DBX RTA-M for use with the REW software.
Also, what would be the recommended amount of bass traps in a small bedroom studio...

I have a pair of AKG K-702. Both of the clear plastic silders are broken, the ear pads are worn and the rubbers are losing their elasticity. AKG provides expanded drawings with part numbers on their website. Is there a good source online to buy these parts and do the repairs myself?
