Got Marantz AV7005 refurb and hooked up to just a CD player. Sounded good...but then it kept switching to 'standby' for a few seconds, and then back to full power and played music for 20 seconds or so. Sounds like some relay clicking when it goes to standby and back. Any idea? Just get a bum...

I have been looking for a pre/pro for a while and think I have boiled it down to these two, but would like to hear any selling points on the extra $250 for the AV7701 other than the 4K. Anyone please feel free to jump in with alternatives as well.

Currently running 5 speakers and when i connect the mic and set it up it wont let me take off the the 2 side speakers for a 7.1 set up so when if I run the audyssey I will get in error and it tells me to retry, I cant figure out how to skip those speakers :scratch:
