  1. Overly Bright Green Issues...

    Video Calibration
After calibrating my new TV, the greens are still WAY TOO BRIGHT. Almost a fluorescent lime green. Everything else is perfect...especially flesh tones. Grass is very artificial in color, even real grass. Is there a way to tackle the greens?

Got my projector half fast setup on a shelf for now just to get me to dial in what screen I need to buy. HDTV | Video Displays | Processors
I'm in the market for a 60" HDTV which will be placed in a bright lake-side room with large picture windows that have no blinds/curtains. Typically, in bright rooms, I would lean towards the LED-LCD type. However, I also have need for off-axis flexibility as this TV will sit kitty-corner in...

  11. Thoughts on Optoma HD20 Bright Mode

    Home Theater Projectors
I just wanted to gather some information on this mode. Common sense tells me it will shorten the life of the bulb. Switching back and forth shows that the bright mode really does make a difference. Does anyone know what kinds of life I would be shaving off of this lamp if I leave it on?

  20. How bright should a projector be?

    Home Theater Projectors
On screen, how bright should a projector be? I believe I read one time that most commercial theaters are somewhere around the 15 foot-lamberts area of brightness. I've seen some reviews of home projectors that would measure around 6-7 foot-lamberts on a 100 inch screen. How important is this...
