Hi, I need help regarding the measure in REW. I got equalizer Apo and managed to put a fir filter using convolution. It is actually able to correct the phase reponse wich is great. Now my wonder is to measure the "benefits" but now I am facing a difficulty. Since the filter generates delay for...

Hi John, it would be possible to export the impulse as wav including compensation of calibration mic. Thanks in advance!

when is it better to use room gain compensation instead of PEQs? assuming one has enough PEQs, can't room gain be controlled with PEQs? Having just got my first of hopefully 2 SB13u, i've left the room gain control alone, and done all my tuning using PEQs, but am wondering if I'd be better...

Is there a limit to the amount of delay compensation that the software can or will apply through the feed back loop?

Hi. According to Fuzz measure, you need to calibrate the Latency (Delay) for the system: support.supermegaultragroovy.com/kb/fuzzmeasure/obtaining-accurate-delay-and-distance-values When i do a soundcard calibration (with a loopback connection from output to input), is that included or must i...

Hello John, do not think about baffle step compensation, when measuring bass speakers in nearfield, according to the dimensions of the front wall?

Running on REWv5 OSx. I want to get the frequency response of a piece of outboard hardware. The hardware has inherent latency. The response of the java sound engine on Room EQ seems to be pretty latent. I'm using an external sound card that has its own inherent latency. When it tries to...

Hello all. I am very new to this world of forums and online discussion, so bear with me please. I am building a new home theater, the room is 20x20, and am planning to build the Zaph ZA5 speakers for the audio component. Here is my question...how significant is baffle step compensation an issue...

I put together a set of speakers a couple years ago (3-way vented floorstanders with Dayton RS28A-4/RS150S-8/DC300-8) with a xover that made a nice flat response in PCD, using raw driver response data. Since I've came to fully understand BSC, a BSC correction circuit's been added. This shows...

Where in the setup process do I account for the innacuracies of my SPL meter (newer analog Radio Shack)? Do I load in the values somewhere? It is probably right there, but I am not seeing it.

HI all, have had my Ultra for a week now and am really thrilled with it, was just wondering what the general consensus is for the room compensation......my HT is 2700 cu ft and i currently have it on large, does this restrict output? Its already ******** awesome. Thanks in advance

So if I want to use the automatic soundcard compensation but my output from my soundcard is spd/if (hooked up to receiver), how do I do a loop back connection? Should I connect the left preout from my receiver to the left line in? This would take into account the delay through the system, no?

I'm having trouble getting my Baffle Step Compensation (BSC) circuits to work properly. The first set I built I used the RL circuit guidelines from the Loudspeaker design cookbook's included Excel sheets. These didn't seem to do much of anything. I then tried using the guidelines here. That...

Ok, so if I want to take my SPL measurements manually (and enter into excel using RAT Shack Meter) then import into REW for it to give me recommendations for BFD adjustments, would I take the uncorrected/uncompensated values from excel (Column C) export to a txt file (as opposed to Column D??)...
