I'm trying to ascertain what SPL levels will damage the little 6mm capsules that are used in the various measurement mics.
It seems most of these are rated to around 120dB. But I can't find any information on a damage limit.
Presumably there is a point when the diaphragm is physically damaged...
I'm getting some feedback that if I do a good sub setup I might have plaster falling in large chunks. I need as much info on this, as I don't think I'll be able to redo my home anytime soon...if ever.
