R-DES (Rocket Digital Equalization System) is a PC based 6-band parametric EQ used to correct your subwoofer’s in-room response. This eliminates annoying frequency peaks created by your subwoofer’s interaction with certain characteristics of your room. The result is smooth, even, and natural...

  4. DIY Subwoofers - General Discussion
Hi, I've two Tempest-X, DCX2496 and an EP2500 at my disposal. I have no idea if I'm going sealed or ported. Many people say "just build two sealed boxes, 8^3 each". I don't know. First, they'll be huge. Second, if I go ported, I'll get more output. I can add a subsonic (highpass) filter with the...

hi folks, I'll have a BFD DSP1124P(from ebay, hehehe). Do you know of any software that will allow us to see the graph in realtime while we are changing the knotches? This way, we can actually see the peaks and dips changing in the graph while we are increasing/decreasing the knobs. Thanks, Neil
  8. REW Forum
Hello all, I bought a sound card to test my new subwoofer and here is the graph. Do I need a DSP1124P? I measured connected directly to the sub. I will post more graphs later once I run the test through the AVR with Odyssey.
  9. System Setup and Connection
I've got an Accurian 5.1 channel surround Stereo Receiver and a Kenwood 1070KE Stereo Graphic Equalizer. The whole problem is, the Accurian 5.1 receiver does not have a "Tape Monitor" button/switch so any effects the Equalizer creates for room acoustics, it never reaches the loudspeakers. Is...

  11. DIY Subwoofers - General Discussion
I read somewhere about a DIY sealed sub that the fellow built and added a length of 1/8" aquarium hose, venting to the outside air. The stated purpose was to equalize the pressure when the weather changed, and after the air in the box heated up from use. I would assume that a few feet of 1/8"...

Did anyone else see John E. Johnson Jr.'s Onix R-DES review here?: http://www.hometheaterhifi.com/volume_13_3/onix-r-des-subwoofer-eq-9-2006-part-1.html Looks like it does many of the same things as REW and a BFD but for a lot more money and with many single frequency measurements. Anyone used...
