  1. Port flares influence length??

    I will have a 4" port of 26". Will having 1" Radius flares on both ends, influence the length for the calculated tune ??

    I have 2 4 inch ports and they are fine except for when (the only time I notice) I watch Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy and the earth explodes. I am not sure the frequency but I can hear the port. the ports are PVC and the box is MDF. Is there an easy way to add flares that are large enough...

Is it important that I put a donut ring (or something similar) on my port intake? If so, what diameter flare would one shoot for....I have read some info...
