It works great- loads reasonably quick, Bitstreams, and Decodes to PCM multi as well.
So far I have played about 10 BD/HD DVDS, and it has been flawless, very quick chapter advance(faster than my A1 and my A2) FF/RW is quick(on HDM- SD FF/RW is slower- a bit cumbersome), PQ is VG...
I've searched the forum and can't find the answer.
I would like to convert my dvd collection and move it all to a nas (Network attached Storage). I can't figure out what file format to use if I want to be able to stream to a PC, an Xbox 360, and Apple TV.

Now that the dust has settled and Blu-ray has officially won the high definition format war, what are your plans?
I plan to keep my Toshiba XA2 for now, since it is a very respectable upconverting DVD player and I still own a few HD-DVD titles.
One option I have entertained is at some point...
Well it's everywhere now. Blu-ray has won. Even though i really like the HD-DVD i guess i will have to look for a better Blu-ray player (i own a Samsung BP1400).
I kind of feel sad though. Weird ain't it? :sad2:

I think the real point is, "Who cares who wins!"
Until you can go to the neighborhood rental place or on-line renter and readily get any of the formats, it doesn't matter :rant:

This is from October 2002 back when it was unclear how HD disc was going to work. HD DVD had a clear lead then as successor to DVD.
Ahhh the memories. Back then we were afriad all this format war...
I have about 800 CDs that I ripped at 192 kbps. I made this choice to save space but still get better quality. I really haven't had a problem with this decision until I started playing with video (copies to my ipod Video).
I think ripping straight to mp3 was a mistake, but want to think...
I like a paper copy when working with something like the BFD guide. For some reason I can't copy or print the text with the images. Would it be possible to publish it in Adobe Acrobat format with the images? Thanks.
