I was wondering what the longest HDMI cable run people have tried (and succeeded) when connecting their Mitsubishi HC1500 Projector. My current proposed setup calls for a 46' cable run connecting my Yamaha HTR-6080 receiver to my projector. The run would consist of a 6' cable, then a manual push...

Hey guys I have about 400 hours on my HC1500 and I've notice recently when I first turn it on while it's showing the Mitsubishi splash screen it flickers once or twice. Then it's fine after that....The only reason I'm concerned about this is because it didnt used to do this......Has anyone else...

Hello all. It's been approximately 4.5 months and roughly 450 hours of bulb life (YIKES) since I first set-up my Mits HC1500 (see my review in an earlier post). It's still going strong and, as you can see by the hours I've put on it, I've really been enjoying it! First it was HD hockey, now...

I've read that the VGA input on the HC1500 isn't the best quality. Therefore I'm wondering if anyone here uses the VGA input and can comment on it? Specifically I've read that the projector does some scaling on the VGA signal no matter what settings you set and thus causes some fuzziness or...

Hey all. I just got my HC1500 and set it up on the floor while my old 4805 (800 hours on bulb and professionally calibrated 1 month ago) was still mounted on the ceiling. The HC1500 will be replacing the 4805 this weekend but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to compare the two units. Besides...

Hey all. A friend of mine had his Mits HC1500 calibrated by Michael Chen (aka Michael TLV) on the weekend and all I can say is that I am now very happy that I ordered one. Of course, a pro calibration will make any projector shine but it's always nice to see that the projector that you just...

Well, I've installed several HC1000/1500's for friends of mine and now the price has gone down to the point where I can't convince myself not to upgrade from my Infocus 4805. I've looked at a number of other deals out there and none of them make more sense than the HC1500 for $799.

I have to say after some initial 'getting used to' time, I have grown to really love this PJ. It is my first PJ so you may want to keep that in mind. This 720P DLP Darkchip2 PJ is about as bright as HT DLP PJ's come. It allows for watching in the daytime where ambient light is not totally...
