Howdy yall. I have been interested in HT for a long time. I have cobbled together an AV system over the years, and am not happy with all the retail products. I am greatly interested in DIY projects, as HT has become my primary hobby. I look forward to learning from yall.
Hi guys, just a quick note to introduce myself, and say that I look forward to reading the forums, and digesting as much information as I can, to improve my setup and knowledge of Home Theater; with HT fans like myself. And perhaps help someone else along the way.
Cheers!

So glad I found this place, hello everybody. I too, promise to learn all of your 8,000 names (wink wink).
Found this site after seraching for BFD stuff. And I thought I'd had an original idea....good greif, BFD users all over the place!

Normally I wouldn't join a forum that would allow someone like me as amember but you all seem so nice! Just joined tonight and have 5 posts allready. Great forum.
WOW!! This place is fun. . .Just found it today. . .Rather than lurk I thought I might want to jump right in if the feeling moves me.
I have had an HT system of one kind or the other since the 70s. Presently in an upgrade mode (changes). Been doing my research hence I found you all. . ...
I'm Chad, one of the new guys around here. I guess you could say the name of my game is getting the best possible sound out of really cheap equipment. I know that might be a blasphemy of sorts around the home theater world, but some of us don't have thousands of dollars to spend on these toys...
Another new guy introducing himself.... Getting more into the DIY stuff, and following the flow of good info on the net leads me here.
WIP:
Multiple enclosures for 2xIDQ10d2 v2's. Testing "SQ" auto drivers in a various Home Theater configs...

Hi
Greetings from a nicotine addicted, compulsive gambler, yada yada from Las Vegas. (kidding about the addictions) :)
I've been a HT enthusiast for about five years, hopefully Ill be upgrading in the next few months so Ill be lurking the forum reading past threads trying to get up...
I just joined up after being sent over here to look at REW.
I'm "new" to the whole HT/2.1 stuff. Last year I purchased a set of DefTech 7002 fronts, Yamaha RX-V2600 receiver, and a Yamaha C950 DVD player. Originally had a Sony GW III 60" LCD to finish it off but recently upgraded to a Samsung...
Just wanted to say hello. I've been lurking here for a while and actively participate on several other boards, but I like the laid back style here so thought I'd register and get involved. I've also seen 2 other people from Alabama here, so it helps me feel right at home.
Hi all,
It is a pleasure to be here. I have gleaned a lot of information from this site as I went through the process of purchasing my svs sub and then the necessity of getting a bfd and using rew to get the set-up. I figured that it was probably about time that I join the forum and...
I have been dabbling in sound since the 70's. Mainly buying stuff I couldn't otherwise afford at garage sales, pawn shops and the like. Built a few pair of speakers, and a subwoofer or three. I am now attempting to set up a decent home theatre system.
I am focusing on the sound portion, but I...
Hi guys, I'm nestled in a little town called Fate on I-30. Fortunately, this town is close to Dallas so I have access to shops with neat stuff. I am strictly a 2-channel audio guy right now, but I often think I see a Home Theater Monster lurking in the shadows; I figure it's only a matter of...
I've been using a BFD with the help of Sonnie's Guide for a while now, and was performing the old "measure-tone-and-plot results" method until I discovered ETF and then REW. My sub has never sounded better!
Anyway, I got redirected here today when I checked John's website for an update to REW...
