In the process of building a home theater. Will I get interference in my speakers if I run the speaker wire in close proximity or right next to 120v wiring?

I have two SD TV's. I also have an HDMI-to-composite converter box. The box works great on one of the TV's, but if hook it up to the other one instead, I get an interference pattern and the colors are turned green. Does anybody know why this could be, and if a box by a different manufacturer...

I recently installed a high powered subwoofer in my home theater. The BASS or the magnetic field interferes with my picture at high SPL. Is there a way to avoid this? I get white splotchy images in the middle of my screen like it is vibrating apart?! Uploaded with ImageShack.us
