Hello, to all. I know from HT practical installations, that it is very important to get right acoustical dimensions for acoustical projecting. This means, that, in particular, ears resolution for low frequencies (20 - 200 Hz) must be taken into consideration to avoid negative resonanсes...

After hearing about room calibration, I decided to give it a shot, but it seems I'm stuck on the sound card calibration part. For reference, I have a UCA202 DAC/ADC as well as a Motherboard Line-in port. The UCA202 mic input has a noise floor of -60dBFS, while the Mobo is lower, at -85dBFS...

Hello, I am using two Klipsch Epic CF3 in a treated room (absorbers in the corners, ceiling and the side walls) and two Klipsch THX KW120 subwoofers. The integration of sub and mains (80Hz double bass for stereo and 60Hz sub alone for HT) is good and I love it with both 2Ch and HT. I am using...

Recently I did acoustical measurements at new recordings studio in Astana (town – capital of Kazakhstan). Dark Blue line is front row Blue/Green is rear row. 2 SUBS. I moved them around the whole room and measured, looking for the location with the least dips in response. Adjusting phase and re-measuring. This is 0 treatments, 0 eq. The 2nd graph shows all the measures as a cobbled mess.

Hello, I am playing with a newly bought Galaxy meter that was calibrated down to 5Hz. However the results I am getting at the extreme LF do not look realistic at all. As you can see in the attached REW measurement snapshot I am getting a 30dB jump between 15Hz and 5Hz. Is it even...

I am in a build project for a stereo pair of 450L enclosures with 2 each TC Audio LMS-R 15" in each, ported low with individual cabinet space for each driver. I have 4 SPA-1000's that will drive it but I seem to be running in to a Low end role off at 18Hz. The cabinets should give me good...
  10. DIY Repair and Maintenance
Hey guys. A friend has a pair of Cerwin Vega VS 100's and has foam rot along the bottom of the speaker. I have never done a repair on one of these but I am very good at fixing anything that requires attention to detail. He wants a repair kit in red to keep the traditional look of the CW...

I've run into an weird issue with REW. When I measure the sweep in REW, I can view the LF Waterfall no problem. However, if I save the measurement, exit REW, open REW, and load the previously saved measurement, LF Waterfall does not work. It only shows a blank graph. Am I doing something wrong?
