Title: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
HTS Overall Score:82
I wasnt quite sure what the phase is doing between the tweeter annd the woofer. Thats why u ran some simulations. Crossover frequency is 1.9kHz.
Obove is tweeter air motion transformer AMT, thats why purely resistive.
Below is the woofer, having 0,7mH inductance and 5.8 Ohm active reistance...
Im struggling to get a good box design that can place my existing sub (Dayton rss390-hf 15) in the closet and vent into the room. 4th order working within 11cf I get a peaky response between 20-40hz. Ported response is still a fantastic 20hz up and flat..But how does that then vent into the...

I'm a fairly experienced recording studio engineer setting up my 2 channel living room system, and I've not been satisfied with the results yet. I am curious about whether changing up my order of operations might be helpful.
My reciever is a 2 channel Harmon-Kardon HK 3470, with a...
Am i understanding correctly that if i want to set a butterworth 4th order in minidsp then i need to set the slope to 24db/oct and 48db/oct would be considered buttrworth 6th order?
Reason i am asking is i was reading about setting hpf for a vented sub and the article...
Hi everyone, New member with a few new gear additions here!- Been reading bits and bobs on and off here for a while now. Very helpful community :T
I have done a quick search on the forum and looked on line but I can't find a straight answer to my question... I don't think the answer...
I was going to try to paint my wall, but during prep I noticed a fairly large hump. So I decided to just go with a fixed frame screen.
I have $380 in Amazon gift cards, so was budgeting up to $400 for the screen. Less would be better if there isn't much of a sacrifice in quality though.
This is a build that is ready, but lately i am more active here.
So i like to post it,and get to know some of the other DIY members over here.
Its called: The best of one world, because i also use a 13W3V3 in a 40 liter closed box beside it.
I called it The best of both world,s using them...
I am pleased to announce that the SDX12 is on order and is expected in time for Christmas.

I would like to take some measurements to see where I am with my system and what I need to correct.
Being as price conscious as I can, I've selected the following-
Dayton Audio Emm-6 ~$50
Behringer 302USB mixer ~$50
I have both Mac and PC laptops that I can use.
I was looking at the REW...
I called the number on Rythmik's site 5 times within 2 weeks, never answered. I called again 5 minutes ago and they still didn't answer. I even left a voicemail and my number last time and they haven't returned my call. What do I do? and where do I buy it from? Thanks
Jeff Bagby's Passive Crossover Designer has a calculator for an Acoustic Butterworth 3rd Order passive high pass filter. What makes it unique is an RC circuit that goes from the positive input of C1 to the output of C2. The RC circuit is calculated for a crossover Fr using driver Re, Fs, and L1...
I have a Marantz SR7005 w audyssey Multi XT that gives me 8 measurement points. I notice that I change the order the measuring points are used, the results change also.
The room is retangular with the seating area in a U shape at back (shortside) and the gear and main speakers on the opposite...
I've been thinking about sub that i could do with Eminence LAB12, since that is the only "searious" sub that i can find here for decent amount of money...
I have room of 20m²/215 ft² and i think that LAB12 will be enough LF boost for me. I want to try the 6th order bandpass for it...
I have a 10'x20' room (Really comes out closer to 16x20 because of the screen wall).. Ceiling is a drop ceiling w/2x4 panels. Need to measure height.
Behind the screen wall - I covered the drywall floor to ceiling with R13 fiberglass. At the time I didn't know what I was doing - and just wanted...
