  1. Viewing saved peak data from RTA spectrum

    REW Forum
I have saved RTA spectrum views with the SAVE button, and then these are saved in an *.mdat file, but I haven't worked out how to view this saved "peak data" again in the RTA, if indeed I can. There is a hint on p.158 of the PDF V5.19 HELP file "The saved measurements can be used as references...

  7. Peak & Depth - hearing sensitivity

    REW Forum
I am wondering about the two dips in the graph below at 110 Hz, 2x0 Hz rapid dip..... Can we hear if there is a dip that's steep and quick? I once read somewhere on the forum it mentioned about a 1/6 octave smoothing guideline. if we apply the 1/6 and see no dip, and the FR is relatively flat...
  8. How to read peak SPL on REW SPL meter?

    REW Forum
I was using the REW SPL meter to get a peak reading of a particular movie scene. I set the meter to C weighting and fast response. I noticed it gave two peak readings; LCFmax and LZpeak. What do these mean? Which one do I use? Btw, the scene I was checking was the "Darla taps aquarium" in...

    Home Audio Acoustics
In reference to the LEDE / RFZ modeling applied to a home listening room, if one is embedding a specular reflection to get a termination peak of -8db, how critical is the bandwidth? My ISD Gap = 24ms Purple = 4.2k Green = 2.1k Yellow = 1.6k Orange = 1k The above are 200us smoothed 1 octave...

  15. Set t=0 at IR Peak ?

    REW Forum
I took measurements with this selected and not selected and I can't see any difference in where t=0 on the impulse response. I was hoping for a way to set t=0 when the signal is sent from the soundcard. Is this possible? This would be handy for measuring the distance between the speakers and...
