I’m looking for a sub that has left and right RCA in and out, and further that acts as an active crossover (thus not sending the bass that the subwoofer is handling to the main speaker amps).
The reason for this is that I have a great stereo pre-amp with only one pair left and right RCA...
Last weekend I was wakened by a thunderclap that sounded like a cannon was fired just outside my window. Later when I got up I started noticing some problems. My fridge was out due to a tripped breaker. The old stereo in my bedroom was powered but mute. The computer in my office had no internet...
Here's the background. I am replacing a Denon 3803 with a Marantz sr7005. One of the things this means is that I am also replacing my outlaw solid silver component cables(actually three digital video cables) with hdmi. Now I am also planning to use a separate amp connected to the preouts of...
Hey everyone! My first post.
I'm in the process of setting up a home theater in my basement.
I have a mixture of old and new equipment for my setup.
Here's a list of my equipment:
Projector: Optima HD 66 (new from Best Buy)
Receiver: Onxyo HT-R530 (used from Craigslist)
I bought a Ep1500 to drive a sub but it only has 1/4 and XLR inputs. What is the best way to connect this to a receiver with RCA outputs? Should I just buy a RCA to XLR cable or are those not good ? Also, is it better to use the 1/4 or XLR connection?
I need to replace the RCA jack assembly on this bose acoustimas 3 series 2 powered subwoofer.
How hard is it to de-solder and re-rolder a new RCA jack?
For now, I am just going to attempt to take the middle pins out and repair them
I'm going to get 5 posts so I can post an image. Don't mind...
I was given an RCA RT2870 Subwoofer and would like to attach it to my system.
I hooked it up as a speaker and it worked fine, but now I want to hook it up as a subwoofer, but not sure how to power it. It has a control wire and appears that it is powered though those wires, but not sure what...
I'm wondering what I can do with my setup. I have a pair of active monitors as speakers, Behringer Truth B2030A. They have XLR and tele inputs (which I've put an RCA plug in).
I don't have an amplifier or preamplifier (since the speakers are active). I also have a NMT (Networked Media...
As I understand it pro audio amplifiers do not have volume regulators but attentuators, that is, they control the amount of amplification done, as opposed to normal amps where you dampen the gain.
Wouldn't this mean, that the attentuators should be at max the whole time to get the...
I have a pair of stereo RCA interconnects that I am using temporarily to run longer extensions to some subwoofers. The subwoofers seem to sound fine and do a decent job of filling the sound for the rear row however, if I touch the end of each stereo RCA cable that is not plugged in, there is a...
I have the following equipment so far
micro power phantom power supply (+48V for the nady)
USB sound blaster card
REW software loaded.
Can I just connect my USB sound card to the phantom power supply using just a RCA to XLR cable?
I just received a BFD and built a Processor to BFD RCA to XLR cable and noticed the input levels to the BFD were very low (bypass switch blinking and operating level button on back pushed in). So using an RCA to RCA cable with phone (two conductor adapter) connection to check if there was a...

I'm going to be sending a web-order tomorrow for the Behringer FBQ2496, however I'm completely unable to find a site that has the appropriate cables for connecting the receiver and subwoofer via either 1/4" TRS plugs or balanced XLR cables.
Can someone who has purchased these types of cables to...
I had the opportunity to compare the Tendon Stereo RCA Audio cable to generic cable that I use. What can I say? I don’t spend much on cable.
TendonUSA is a web-based company that provides audio/video cables, firewire, computer connections, DVI cable, and networking connectivity products. They...
